Natural Sciences Programme
The department promotes the use of science to build peace and advance knowledge for sustainable development. This is achieved by strengthening science, technology and innovation systems for and policies for knowledge-based economies nationally, regionally and globally; enhancing knowledge and capacities towards sustainable societies, protecting the environment, climate action, , biodiversity, water and ocean management and disaster risk reduction and promoting international scientific cooperation on critical challenges to sustainable development.
