How can technology unlock the next generation of Kenyan innovators? This was the focus of discussions when the Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM-UNESCO) hosted Mr. Tarun Ramesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Kritrima Prajna Innovations Pvt. Ltd., on 12 August 2026. He was accompanied by Dr. Julius Otundo of Raira University.
The engagement explored opportunities to strengthen the KNATCOM STEM Mentorship Programme by leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to equip learners and teachers with skills for the digital future.
A key highlight was the presentation of eduCOBOT, an innovative digital learning platform that offers curriculum-aligned content in AI and other emerging technologies, enabling learners to access STEM education anytime and anywhere.
The discussions underscored the pivotal role of teachers in nurturing innovation and examined practical ways to expand access to technology-enabled learning through digital and smartphone-based platforms. Such approaches can enhance mentorship experiences, spark creativity, and make STEM learning more accessible to young people across Kenya.
The proposed collaboration aligns with KNATCOM-UNESCO’s commitment to advancing innovation, digital literacy, and quality STEM education.
