Mr. Duale Hassan Abdullahi is a seasoned education administrator with over 23 years of experience in the management and leadership of Kenya’s education sector. He currently serves as the Head of Directorate – Junior Education at the Ministry of Education, where he is instrumental in steering policy and administrative matters related to junior-level learning across the country.
His extensive career has spanned key leadership roles, including serving as Sub-County Director of Education, County Director, Regional Director, and Deputy Director in both the Directorate of Primary Education and the Directorate of Teacher Education. He has also served as Director in charge of Field Coordination and Co-Curricular Activities, overseeing vital aspects of educational delivery and engagement at the national level.
Mr. Duale holds a master’s degree in education management and administration, and a second Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), equipping him with a strong foundation in both pedagogical leadership and organizational strategy. He is a committed member of the Kenya Association of Educational Administration and Management (KAEAM), reflecting his dedication to professional development and educational excellence. Through his leadership, Mr. Duale continues to champion equitable access to quality education and contribute to the transformation of Kenya’s basic education landscape.
