In the realm of financial reporting excellence, KNATCOM claimed a noteworthy position, ranking within the top three SAGAs at the 2023 Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards. Specifically recognized among SAGAS reporting under IPSAS (Accrual), KNATCOM outshone 130 other State Autonomous Government Agencies adhering to the same accrual reporting standards. The shift from cash to accrual reporting, mandated for all entities, underscored the Commission commitment to transparency and compliance.
The prestigious event, organized by Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Capital Markets Authority of Kenya (CMA), Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB), and Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA), centered around the theme of harnessing technology and innovation to elevate transparency, sustainability, governance, and financial information. This triumph at the FiRe Awards served as a fitting culmination to KNATCOM’s 10th Year Anniversary as a State Corporation and the beginning of another decade. The Ag. SG/CEO Dr. James Njogu, HSC observed this recognition as a result of teamwork and hard work.
