Mr. Stephen G. Mau Kimani is a seasoned public servant and information management specialist with over 30 years of experience in leadership and administration within the civil service. He currently serves as the Director of Records and Library Services at the State Department for Culture, the Arts and Heritage, where he leads the development and management of national library and archival services.
He holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Kenyatta University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship from Makerere University in Kampala, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nairobi. His academic and professional background has equipped him with a deep understanding of information organization, cultural preservation, and knowledge management. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Kimani has championed the enhancement of library and documentation services as critical enablers of education, heritage preservation, and public sector modernization. His work continues to support Kenya’s efforts to promote cultural identity, information access, and institutional memory through well-managed records and library systems.
