UNESCO Scholarships & Fellowships

UNESCO Fellowships
UNESCO Fellowship Bank Scheme requires that all applications be channeled through the National Commission for UNESCO of a candidate's country. UNESCO cannot consider direct, individual requests for funding. Due to scarcity of funds, fellowship seekers are encouraged to seek other sources of funding.
The fields of study within UNESCO's areas of competence are those relating to Education, Natural Sciences, Social Science and Humanities, Culture, Communication, Information and Informatics.
Owing to the high cost of training, fellowship possibilities at UNESCO are scarce. Undergraduate students who wish to pursue studies in their own country cannot be beneficiaries of UNESCO fellowships. Furthermore, applicants must have exceptional merit, and have demonstrated that they possess outstanding potential to contribute to the social, cultural and/or economic development of their country to be considered for a UNESCO fellowship.
