2016 IFPC Call for project proposals
To all Permanent Delegations to UNESCO and National Commissions
The call for proposals for 2016 of the International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC) is now open.
UNESCO wishes to invite interested persons/organizatios to apply submit their project proposals for funding
The call is open to:
  1. Individuals, particularly artists and creators;
  2. Public bodies with specific responsibility for the promotion of culture and artistic creation;
  3. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and non-profit private bodies whose objectives are in conformity with those of the Fund and whose activities contribute to the promotion of culture and artistic creation.
  4. Priority is given to projects submitted by young creators aged 18 to 30 years and to projects aimed at benefitting youth

Eligible activities fall under the following two categories:
  • The production of cultural and artistic works;
  • The organization of cultural and artistic events of national, regional and/or international scope contributing to the establishment of culture and development strategies and programmes.

Please note that the deadline for submissions is on 31 May 2016 at noon (CEST) - Paris time

Theme: The Role of Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) in Sustainable Development
CALL FOR PAPERS
Sustainable development has been an overarching concern for the international community since the 1980s.
Sustainable development is a process which requires a cumulative effort of not only public institutions and funding but also the resources and capacity of the private higher institutions of learning.
In this regard, interested researchers, academics and development experts are kindly invited to submit Abstracts and Papers or Posters on any of the following themes:
  1. Access to affordable and quality education for sustainable development
  2. Qualification/quality of teachers: Implications for teaching/learning/research and development
  3. Employability skills/entrepreneurship and sustainable development
  4. Sectoral policies, public-private partnership (PPP) and university-industry linkages;
  5. The role of regional institutions in higher education and sustainable development
  6. Gender equality, equity and community services

N.B. Abstracts should not exceed 400 to 500 words.
