Kenya’s 1st Physical Education Policy for Basic Learning Institutions
The Ministry of Education and KNATCOM in collaboration with sector partners carried out a sensitization to the Education Officers in charge of sports, teachers and other stakeholders on the importance of the Policy to pupils, students and the country.
The Policy serves as a tool to promote the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) and gives direction in organizing and participating in Physical education at the learning institutions. Further, the policy articulates the values of engaging in Physical Education (P.E) and Sports by pupils and students.
