The Ag. Secretary General, Dr. James Njogu, HSC, recently hosted the Permanent Delegate of Kenya to UNESCO, Amb (Designate) Prof. Peter Ngure, who was accompanied by his Deputy Ambassador (Designate) Jane Khasoa Lusenaka.
During the visit, KNATCOMs senior management took them through the programmes being carried out at the Commission and priority areas for collaboration.
The Ambassador (Designate) Prof Ngure was grateful for the synthesis, as he was able to appreciate the Commission’s functions, strategies and activities, which also helped identify areas of possible collaboration that will also help improve the positioning of Kenya at UNESCO, while advancing Kenya’s Foreign Policy. On his part, the Ag. Secretary General expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his commitment to supporting and collaborating with the Commission in the UNESCO areas of interest of Education, Natural And Social Sciences, Culture, Communication and Information.
